Ukrainian Laboratory of Quality and Safety
Ukrainian Laboratory of Quality and Safety of Agricultural Products (hereinafter referred to as ULQSAP) of the National University of Life and Environmental Sciences of Ukraine (NUBiP of Ukraine), (former National Agricultural University of Ukraine) was created in obedience to Order of Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine from October, 2nd, 2003 # 584-g.
ULQSAP is certified by All-Ukrainian state research and production center for standardization, metrology, certification and protection of consumers' rights (Ukrmetrteststandart), which testifies conformity to criteria of certification of the measuring laboratories of state metrological system.
The quality management system of ULQSAP is developed according to requirements of ÄÑÒÓ ISO/IEC 17025:2006, which is identical to the international standard ISO/IEC 17025:2005.
In 2007 the National accreditation agency of Ukraine testified the competence of ULQS of AIC according to requirements of ÄÑÒÓ ISO/IEC 17025 by Accreditation Certificate, and in 2010 ULQSAP successfully confirmed its competence, besides having expanded the scope of accreditation.
Principles and bases of ULQSAP development concerning the requirements to management system were formed taking into account the requirements of international standard ISO 9001:2000.
The quality management system of ULQSAP in combination with system of administrative management control and system of economic maintenance forms general control system of ULQSAP.
According to the order of the Ministry of Agricultural Policy of Ukraine and the Ukrainian Academy of Agrarian Sciences from December, 29th, 2007 #966/141 NUBiP of Ukraine was given status of the enterprise (laboratory) of the genetic control – the only one in Ukraine.
Nowadays the laboratory can carry out over 500 kinds of various researches.
Researches are carried out in various directions and enable to analyze plant and animal production from initial stages of its obtaining to a final product which gets on a table.
Owing to existence of ULQSAP as non-departmental state laboratory the conditions are formed in Ukraine for formation of the market of safe production of high quality both for Ukrainian consumer, and for maintenance of export-import trading operations realization.
We also are authorized to perform the state researches of plants protection means and agrochemicals with the purpose of their registration in Ukraine.
Through the years of our activities the staff has grown ten times and at the moment there are 156 employees, among them 47 scientific employees, 4 doctors and 16 candidates of sciences. Energy and youth, rich experience and high qualification of our experts and leading specialists are successfully combined in the Laboratory team. Dynamic development is promoted by the fact that experts of over different specialties, skilled managers, experts with an operational experience in transnational corporations, prominent scientists are working here. All the staff has passed the training concerning the requirements of international standards to the activities of testing laboratories, and they constantly improve their skills and qualification on training courses, seminars, trainings in Ukraine, Japan, Germany, France, USA etc.
In addition to the research activities ULQSAP renders consulting services both to large agricultural enterprises, and to private experts in the field of agriculture, takes an active part in the development and estimation of agricultural products and food production technologies of Ukraine. Our experience, gained through long forceful work, gives us an opportunity to offer for producers individual complex decisions of laboratory monitoring of safe product of high quality production starting from the initial control up to ready to use product control.Sergiy D.
