Ukrainian laboratory of quality and safety

Ukrainian laboratory of quality and safety of AIC products (hereinafter referred to as ULQS of AIC) of the National University of Life and Environmental Sciences of Ukraine (NULES of Ukraine), (former National Agrarian University of Ukraine) was created in obedience to Order of Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine from October, 2nd, 2003 # 584-g.
ULQS of AIC is certified by All-Ukrainian state research and production center for standardization, metrology, certification and protection of consumers' rights (Ukrmetrteststandart), that testifies conformity to criteria of certification of the measuring laboratories of state metrological system.
The quality management system of ULQS of AIC is constructed according to requirements of ÄÑÒÓ ISO/IEC 17025:2006, that is identical to the international standard ISO/IEC 17025:2005.
In 2007 the National accreditation agency of Ukraine testified the competence of ULQS of AIC according to requirements of ÄÑÒÓ ISO/IEC 17025 by Accreditation Certificate, and in 2008 ULQS AIC confirmed successfully the competence, besides having expanded the scope of accreditation.
Principles of construction of management in ULQS of AIC were formed in view of requirements of international standard ISO 9001:2000.
The quality management system of ULQS of AIC in combination with system of administration managerial control and system of economic maintenance forms general control system of ULQS of AIC.
According to the order of the Ministry of agrarian policy of Ukraine and the Ukrainian academy of agrarian sciences from December, 29th, 2007 966/141 ULQS of AIC was given status of the Enterprise (laboratory) of the genetic control – unique in Ukraine.
Nowadays the laboratory can carry out over 500 kinds of various tests.
Researches are carried out in the diversified directions and enable to analyze plant and animal production from initial stages of its reception to a final product which gets on a table.
Owing to existence of ULQS of AIC in Ukraine there are created conditions of formation of the market of safe production of high quality both for the Ukrainian consumer, and for maintenance of realization of export-import trading operations.
We also are authorized to perform the state researches of plants protection products and agrochemicals with the purpose of their registration in Ukraine.
Since 2001 when the laboratory totaled 15 employees, the staff has grown ten times and at the moment, in 2008, totals 156 workers, among them 47 scientific employees, 2 doctors and 18 candidates of sciences. In the laboratory team the energy and youth (middle age of workers – 35 years), high experience and qualification of our employees and leading experts are successfully combined. Dynamic development is promoted by the fact, that experts of over 30 different specialties are working here, among them skilled managers, experts with an operational experience in transnational corporations, scientists with wide experience of work in system of the Academy of sciences of Ukraine. All employees were trained concerning requirements of the international standards to activity of testing laboratories and constantly improve their skills and qualification on training courses, seminars, trainings in Ukraine, Japan, Germany, France and other developed countries.
Except of research activity ULQS of AIC renders consulting services both to great agricultural enterprises, and private experts of agriculture, always takes part in development and estimation of "know-how" of agricultural and food production of Ukraine.
