Mexican company "Gruma" wants to invest in the cultivation and processing of maize in Ukraine
As it became known from the message of the press service of the Ukrainian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs (USPP), the group "Gruma" (Mexico) intends to invest in the cultivation and processing of maize in Ukraine.
"We were not intimidated by warnings that Ukraine is heavily engaged in the business. Our company has a 60-year history and is represented in 50 countries, including Russia. Therefore, we have experience in post-Soviet space. Ukraine an attractive market for us," - said director of the European office of the company Sergio Rama during a meeting with representatives of the USPP.
In turn, the vice-president of USPP A. Blavdzevich noted that the USPP will do everything to facilitate the establishment of business contacts with "Gruma".
Information: Company "Gruma" is a major world leader in corn flour. Offices throughout the U.S., Mexico, Central America, Venezuela and Europe. For the second quarter 2009 sales volumes grew by 1% to 1,1 million tons, mainly due to growth in sales of flour in Venezuela.
