Ukraine and Morocco signed a protocol of the first meeting of the Ukrainian-Moroccan Intergovernmental Commission on trade-economic, scientific-technical and cultural cooperation, which will be the "road map" to build mutually beneficial bilateral relations in the near future. According to the press service of the Ministry of Economy of Ukraine, the document was signed after a session of the Commission, held December 7-8 in Rabat.
In the minutes of the meeting included 24 of section for all promising areas of bilateral cooperation. Were also signed three intergovernmental agreements: on maritime merchant shipping, on cooperation in the field of culture, cooperation in the field of water management.
An agreement was also reached on signing in the near future orders of ten bilateral documents. During the talks, Economy Minister Bohdan Danylyshyn with heads of ministries and departments of Morocco were the specific agreements on cooperation, particularly in industry and agriculture - to increase the export of grain to supply Morocco fishing boats, fertilizers, as well as the purchase of Ukraine citrus . In addition, discussion of supply in Morocco medicines and vaccines of Ukrainian production.
As a result of negotiations, Prime Minister of Morocco Abasov El Fassi expressed his gratitude to the head of the Ukrainian economic agency for the proposal for the preparation of highly qualified staff for the productive sectors of Morocco, as well as academic staff. He noted Danylyshyn personal role in the negotiations "as a world-renowned scientist in the field of natural resources, environmental protection, implementation of policies for sustainable development.
During the meeting with Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kingdom of Morocco in Ukraine Abdelzhalilem Saubri Danilishin reported the results of constructive negotiations and thanked the ambassador for facilitating the first meeting of the commission.
In turn, Saubri stressed that Danilishin "will go down in the history of Morocco, as the Minister of Economy of Ukraine, who first met on a bilateral commission on trade-economic, scientific-technical and cultural cooperation." The parties agreed in April 2010 in Casablanca (Morocco) to conduct a large-scale business forum with the participation of entrepreneurs of Ukraine and Morocco.
