Ukraine has agreed to duty-free export to the EU of 92 thousand tons of meat
According to the press-secretary of the Minister of Agricultural Policy and Food of Ukraine Mr. Karp, commenting on the results of the agreements that were reached during the 17th round of Ukraine and the EU concerning the free trade area September 21, 2011, UNIAN.
According to Mr. Karp, after signing the FTA Ukraine will be able to export to the EU 12 thousand tons of beef. In addition, the first year after signing the agreement Ukraine will be able to deliver 20 tons of frozen chicken carcasses and 16 tons of processed products. It is envisaged that within 5 years the volume of processed chicken meat will be increased to 20 thousand tons, increasing annually by 1 thousand tons, and duty-free export of poultry meat amount to 40 thousand tons in general. "In the pork will also have 40 tons of the scheme 20 plus 20: processed pork carcasses and quarter carcasses and" - said Mr. Karp.
In addition, Ukraine will supply to the EU 30 thousand tons of sugar a year without fees, as well as 27 thousand tons of various sugar syrups and molasses, which generally amount to 57 thousand tons of sugar products.
Also Ukraine will export 3 tons of eggs in shell and 3 tons of food processing eggs. However, export of vegetables will be implemented in 50 tons of fruit and in the amount of 270 thousand tons is also planned to export ethanol to a volume of 10 thousand tons in 5 years, and in the first year of bioethanol shipments of 27 tons
