In the third quarter of 2009, the State Standardization Service of Ukraine rejected 38% of tested juices and juice drinks
As informs the press service of the State Standardization Service of Ukraine, in the third quarter of 2009, the inspectors checked 73,0 thousand tons of juices and juice drinks in the amount of 351 ths. The audit was rejected and removed from the implementation of 28 thousand liters of on amount of 138 thousand UAH. That is 38% of the tested amount.
Thus, during the third quarter was checked 727 enterprises in the area of trade, dealing with the implementation of juices and juice drinks. It should be noted that the violations were recorded in 238 of them.
The main products were defective and removed from production due to lack of relevant, accessible, reliable and timely information about the product (5% rejects), non-availability of certificates of conformity or certificates of accreditation in the accompanying documents (31%), lack of supporting documents , including those that confirm the quality and safety (91%), sale of goods, the suitability of the term which has already expired (1%).
According to the report, due to lack of budgetary resources to carry out in 2009, laboratory studies of juices and juice drinks territorial authorities of the State Standardization Service of Ukraine could not fully determine the suitability of proven products to the requirements of normative documents on physical, chemical and microbiological parameters.
