Ministry of Agrarian Policy of Ukraine plans to reconsider standards for milk

Minister of Agrarian Policy of Ukraine N.Prisjazhnjuk has declared, that in Ukraine review of standards of milk is planned. It has informed on it on August, 30th, 2010 during performance on one of TV channels of Vinnitsa, passes UNIAN.

We shall enter in parallel two standards – both will exist for some time – 3-4 years, and already manufacturer for themselves will choose how to work, under high standards or low ", – the minister has told.

He also noted, that existing Ukrainian standards are low: the Ukrainian first grade is the second in Russia and the third or fourth in the Europe. N.Prisjazhnjuk, has added: ’ the European consumer – is the most powerful on globe, and today when the government negotiates for Free Trade Zone, the state essentially defends a position that will allow Ukraine to enter the European market’.
